Potential Problems

Hydrocortisone 1% cream.

To help skin inflammation and sunburn.

Won't help fungal problems like athlete's foot.

Loperamide. (Immodium)

To help ease diarrhoea.

You should stop once the diarrhoea is over.

Antacid. (Rennie soft chews)

Relieves indigestion and heartburn.

Be careful if you are over 40 as can increase risk of heart attack.

Ibuprofen.

Helps aches, pains, migraine, toothache, period pain, backache and reduces fever.

You should take it with food or it could lead to an upset stomach.

Antihistamines.

This helps ease allergic reactions such as with wasp stings, insect bites and hay fever.

It doesn't help all rashes including prickly heat.

Hyoscine. (Travel calm tablets)

This helps ease travel sickness.

It could cause drowsiness and blurred vision so don't drive.

Parecetemol.

This helps all minor aches and pains.

None really and does not cause stomach upset either.

Levonelle step one.

The morning after pill. It is 99% effective.

It doesn't work if you vomit within two hours of taking it.

Aqueous cream.

The is an all round moisturiser which can help ease burning, dehydration, sweating and a flare up of eczema.

You may need something stronger for more severe rashes.

Regular medication.

You should ensure you have an adequate supply of any regular medication you take.

Do make sure you get a supply in plenty of time. Take the instructions with you.
