There are 2,500 breeds of mosquito. The mosquito is programmed to inflict maximum irritation in the minimum time. Within just two days of birth, the young mosquito is ready to mate.  Mosquitos are at their most dangerous between dusk and dawn.
If you are bitten by the worse kind of mosquito, particularly in Egypt, you are likely to contract Dengue Fever or Malaria. Even if your symptoms have been treated abroad, seek urgent medical help on your return to the UK.
