Medical Reports

Obtaining an accurate medical report is a crucial part of maximizing your claim for compensation.
We will arrange an appointment for you to see a doctor who specializes in the field which is relevant to your particular injury or illness. For example, if you have suffered a broken bone, then we would refer you to an orthopaedic doctor. If you have suffered stress or anxiety as a result of the trauma of the accident we may refer you to a psychiatrist.

We would ensure that the doctor has offices in the area where you live so that it is convenient for you to attend. Your appointment may last for around an hour.
The doctor will ask you questions about the circumstances of your accident or illness and prepare a report setting out a description of your injury /illness, how it occurred and the prognosis; that is how quickly you will be likely to recover. This report forms the basis of your claim for compensation.

If you have suffered a serious injury or illness, then the doctor may recommend that a second or follow- up report is obtained some 6 to 9 months after the first to ensure that your symptoms have settled as expected.
It is not safe to settle your claim until your injury or illness has reached an end state, otherwise we might not be able to maximize the amount of your compensation.
