Recent reports have been received about a possible outbreak of Norovirus and food poisoning at the 4-star Flamingo Oasis Hotel in Benidorm.Holidaymakers have complained of sickness, diarrhoea and vomiting while staying at the hotel in December, 2009 and January, 2010. Four members of one family were violently ill, and on reporting their illness to the hotel reps, were told they ´probably got food poisoning from somewhere outside the hotel´. The family maintain the only place they had eaten was at the all-inclusive hotel restaurant.
Complaints have also been made about the indoor pool which was dirty, and children contracted sores and rashes after swimming there. Holiday reps were also reported to have been taken ill with food poisoning at the Flamingo Oasis Hotel, Benidorm, and several families also confirmed gastroenteritis and vomiting during their stay in January, 2010.
A smell of sewage was also reported by guests when they ran water in their bathrooms or flushed the toilet..
